Activities at Smithills Hall

TIMELINE EXHIBITION – closed
Come along and see the permanent Timeline Exhibition of 700 years of Smithills Hall’s history, situated in the old kitchen area . Follow the timeline from 1335 to the present and read the fascinating story of the people and events influencing the history of Smithills and beyond. This display is worth a visit. Entry to the exhibition and other areas of the Hall is free.
GUIDED TOURS – suspended
Volunteer guides will be able to give guided tours to this historic Hall, when it is open to the public, but he Hall is presently closed until further notice..
There will be a charge by Bolton Council for guided tours from 1 November 2019 of £5 and £4 for concessions. For information about tour dates etc phone the Hall on (01204) 332812

WEDDINGS
If you are looking for a special venue for a wedding why not consider this historic Grade I listed building set in its own beautiful grounds.
Civil ceremonies can be held in the historic Medieval Great Hall, or the richly panelled Tudor Withdrawing Room. The refurbished Devey Room is now available for receptions and registered for weddings.
